Final recap

Back home now & recovering. Just to put a pin in that incredible experience, here is a video recap of the seven days.

The event organizers had some incredible footage that I borrowed to give some sense of the race & conditions. We had all four seasons and ran up and down the Alps over four countries. Pretty good mid-life crisis 😎

Sixth day

I felt lots of anxiety/adrenaline at the start, but was a good course and felt strong.

Fifth day

From Austria to Switzerland. Easier day, which was needed to recover. 30K distance.

Fourth day

Good news: each day is better than the first one. All tough though and really challenging.

Third day

Very tough. Cold, wet, long and very challenging on top of the mountain. Glad it’s over.

Hope it’s not too tricky tomorrow but we do have to wear helmet and spikes on shoes at certain parts. So it may be very technical and challenging.

Second day of TAR

That was better. Was amazed I was able to get through it considering yesterday. I had never felt so bad.

First day. Wow. That was rough.

First day. That was way tougher than I thought though with altitude sickness and lots of cramps. Hoping to recover to see if I can push through tomorrow.

Ready to go

I’m sitting at SFO airport. Very excited for this adventure. It will be a physical and mental challenge and I’m hoping for another lifelong memorable experience.

My next midlife crisis. I’m going to vlog about this seven day run in the Alps. I’m assuming I’ll get better at vlogging 😝

I'll post about my final race preparation, including my final long run tomorrow.
